Development Associate
The Ronald McDonald House of Providence seeks a part-time (20 hours) Development Associate. The Development Associate supports the Director of Development on all aspects of the Fund Development plan, which includes assisting outside community/individual events that benefit the House, grants, and public relations strategies. The Development Associate should represent the House in a positive manner with all community members, volunteers and the community at large and continue to assist in increasing the number of donors and dollars to assure effective, efficient operation of the organization.
Reports to: Director of Development
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
In conjunction with the Director of Development and other key staff, contribute to the planning and implementation of the comprehensive operational fundraising strategy and program, including signature events and third party fundraising, online fundraising initiatives and direct mail.
-Coordinate the planning and execution of events with volunteer committees
-Assist in updating the organization's website and social media sites
-Work with the Director of Development to implement public relations strategies
-Produce and distribute an e-newsletter
-Assist in identifying donor prospects: individual, corporate and foundation
Other Duties:
-Assist Director of Development and the CEO in efforts to convey RMH Providence accomplishments and needs through various media including social media, electronic communications and traditional media
-Attend all RMH Providence sponsored events as well as other activities conducted for the benefit of the organization
-Within constraints of time and circumstances, assist with reasonable related duties as negotiated with the CEO
-Deliver presentations to internal and external groups
-Serve as back up to assist families and House operations as needed
-Participate in appropriate professional organizations for continuing education and professional growth
Qualifications:
-Bachelors Degree
-At least two years experience in a non profit development or events management capacity
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Computer proficiency, including familiarity with all MS Office products (design skills desirable)
-Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to people of diverse backgrounds
-Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet frequent deadlines
-Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment
