Barbara Patrick

Barbara was one of the first official volunteers.  In fact, she was interviewed by our founding Board President, Jeannette Bucci, in 1989.

She began volunteering on Thursday mornings when the House first opened.  After her husband passed away, Barbara started coming on Tuesday mornings as well.  She shared, “I needed something more to do at that time and decided that this was the best place to be”.

Even after 20 years of volunteer service, Barbara is full of energy and enjoys the time she spends at the House.  Every Tuesday and Thursday morning she can be seen walking around the House with a list of tasks to accomplish.  She works very hard to pack a lot of projects into each four hour shift.

Over the years, Barbara says that she's developed some wonderful friendships and that she continues to be fulfilled by her service to the House.
